Winnebago Man: The Documentary

The super popular YouTube clip “Winnebago Man” (where the foul-mouthed and tempermental Jack Rebney continually screws up his lines for a Winnebago infomercial) has been turned into a feature-length documentary! I can’t wait to see this. Yet another case of a YouTube sensation being turned into a much larger piece. Here is the trailer:

Throwing people under the bus

The catch phrase “throw [someone] under the bus” has EXPLODED over the past few years due to Reality TV. It’s synonymous with “backstabbing” a trusted friend / teammate, when you yourself are under threat. Here’s a compilation of all the times the phrase was used in the latest season of The Celebrity Apprentice, but I guarantee you that you could make a similar compilation of clips from any other season of a competition-based Reality TV show from the past few years.

Even more interestingly, I’ve found a few sources that originally attribute the phrase to Cyndi Lauper, way back in 1984. Considering that Cyndi was on this season of the Celebrity Apprentice, the whole thing has come full circle!

Shagged by a Rare Parrot

While shooting for a nature documentary, Stephen Fry and zoologist Mark Carwardine came across an incredibly rare parrot on the verge of extinction. And judging by its sexual preferences, there’s a reason why. (This is a popular video I’ve seen a few times, but after coming across it again, I felt like I just had to share it here on Pie Heaven!)
