I have posted what seems like dozens of covers of the original Super Mario Bros. theme here on Pie Heaven, but this one is so awesome, I can’t help but post it. This violinist not only plays the theme, but also all of the Mario sound effects that we know and love. Impressive. Geeky. Awesome.

Four times in a row. The dark room and the game’s spooky music in the background make this especially sinister.

Street Fighter: The Fan Films

In the early ’90s, Hollywood made a film adaptation of Street Fighter, which turned out to be one of the worst films in the history of the world, ever. Too bad, because Street Fighter is such a great video game series. Luckily, twenty years later, fans of the fighting games are making AMAZING adaptations of the game that are billions of times better than what Hollywood could muster together.

Enjoy these two awesome and eerily similar Street Fighter fan films, amazingly, were released the same week by filmmakers who didn’t even know each other existed!
