Angry drunken director’s commentary track for a failed student film

My buddy Matt Murphy was a TV/film student, and for a class product, he got paired with a group of no-talent assclowns whose incompetency made this project turn out like…well…most student films. So after the film wrapped, Matt got DRUNK, and also REALLY ANGRY – and BITTER — and recorded this commentary track for “Montana Young and the Search for the Monte Cristo” . There’s just something about raging drunk lunatics yelling at a screen that gets me every time!

Street Fighter: The Fan Films

In the early ’90s, Hollywood made a film adaptation of Street Fighter, which turned out to be one of the worst films in the history of the world, ever. Too bad, because Street Fighter is such a great video game series. Luckily, twenty years later, fans of the fighting games are making AMAZING adaptations of the game that are billions of times better than what Hollywood could muster together.

Enjoy these two awesome and eerily similar Street Fighter fan films, amazingly, were released the same week by filmmakers who didn’t even know each other existed!

One Froggy Evening

Directed by Chuck Jones, this Warner Bros., this short is considered one of the funniest cartoons ever produced. Steven Spielberg defined it “the Citizen Kane of animated film” and “the most perfect cartoon ever made.” That might be overkill, but I certainly did enjoy watching One Froggy Evening, where Michigan J. Frog makes his historic debut. Enjoy!

“Struggling with its immortality, a discarded plastic bag (voiced by Werner Herzog) ventures through the environmentally barren remains of America as it searches for its maker.” I haven’t finished watching this yet, but it is pretty epic so far. And Werner Herzog has the perfect creepy voice for this bag!
