A few weeks back Will Ferrell posed as Rojo Johnson, a Venezualan relief pitcher with a spotted past and a bad attitude. His official outing would last one pitch. His line: 1 pitch, 2 beers.

Throwing people under the bus

The catch phrase “throw [someone] under the bus” has EXPLODED over the past few years due to Reality TV. It’s synonymous with “backstabbing” a trusted friend / teammate, when you yourself are under threat. Here’s a compilation of all the times the phrase was used in the latest season of The Celebrity Apprentice, but I guarantee you that you could make a similar compilation of clips from any other season of a competition-based Reality TV show from the past few years.

Even more interestingly, I’ve found a few sources that originally attribute the phrase to Cyndi Lauper, way back in 1984. Considering that Cyndi was on this season of the Celebrity Apprentice, the whole thing has come full circle!

Organized Rhyme: The early ’90s Canadian rap group featuring a 17-year-old Tom Green

In early ’90s Ottawa Canada, Tom Green and two high school friends took over the Canadian hip hop scene with their dope beats. Awesome. I saw Tom Green perform some standup in LA last week at The Laugh Factory, and I’ve been on a Tom Green kick ever since. Enjoy a few early Tom Green gems:
