Eduard Khil the “Trololo” man sings 44 years after his famous song

One of the latest viral sensations is the known as “Trololo guy,” which I posted here on Pie Heaven a few weeks ago. Well, someone tracked down the Soviet singer 44 years later…his name is Eduard Khil and this was his signature song, and apparently a big hit in the USSR back in the ’60s.

The song’s translated title is “I’m very glad, because I’m going back home” and, according to Khil, is “in fact about an American who returns home through the prairies, and his beloved Mary waits for him at home and knits a woolen sock for him.”

The folks who run the site were so kind as to compile their ten favorite jokes from last year into one convenient little player, and I’m sure you’ll love it as much as I did! Sad you can’t see a good Alice in Wonderland? Meryl Streep and Mark Lynn Baker (‘Perfect Stranger’s” Cousin Larry) star in this musical from 1981. The Jabberwock stuff in the second one is particularly great.

At temple, we ate various types of preserved fishes after sabath services. Lox, pickled herring, smoked whitefish, gefilte fish, salt cod, kippered herring, soaked mackerel, yellow-bellied tuna, Ed Kotch, minnesota soup, cat, just to name a few…
