Probably not the best way to play Mario, but still pretty neat.

The future of food advertisements is to fake them with CG rather than hiring a food stylist to dress up fast food to look all nice and snazzy.

What do you get when you suspend nanoparticles of iron in a colloidal solution of water, oil and a surfactant? Ferrofluids, a liquid that reacts to magnetic fields in trippy ways that make you think that science is both magical and potentially evil.

I’m calling it now… the giant green robot will be the first to consciously kill a human to “end its suffering”.

Two music videos were released on the same day, and both of them claim to be the first ever music video shot on an iPhone 3GS. I’m not sure which is officially the “first,” but they’re both pretty good. The iPhone has a pretty good video camera (if you’re shooting video for the web).

Onboard cameras capture the amazing journey of Atlantis into space, and the dramatic return of the solid rocket boosters. Really amazing, especially starting about halfway through when the booster rockets fall off and fall back to splash into the ocean.

Was trying video on my new iPhone 3G S at the pool and dropped it in the pool. Don’t know if it’s waterproof, but it still works fine. I had a few people comment on seeing a strap in the video. I have a rubber cover and had put a strap through the earpiece hole to avoid just this type of thing. I didn’t have it on my wrist at the time, but believe me, I will from now on!!!! Maybe the rubber cover helped with it not getting damaged.

Microsoft is trying to do a viral marketing campaign for its web browser Internet Explorer 8, so they’ve enlisted former Superman, Dean Cain (whose career has fallen to a new low), and they’re making lame, disgusting puke jokes. Also, the feature they’re highlighting is already in every other browser on the market. If anything, this proves how incredibly lame Internet Explorer is.

Some unknown life form has been discovered in sewers (“notice the retraction of a stiff nail like object from the third and last creature from the seam in the pipe”). This video is exactly how numerous horror / sci-fi movies start.
