Awesome cover of MGMT’s top single “Kids”! (RANT: I saw MGMT live a few days ago at Coachella, and as you might know from listening to their second album, they’ve become hipster douchebags who no longer will make “singles” — aka, songs people like. So don’t expect their to be another “Kids” or “Time to Pretend” anytime soon. They didn’t even play “Kids” live, despite it being the one song everyone in the crowd wanted to hear, and the crowd BEGGING for it at the end of the set. So yeah, I no longer like MGMT. But their first album, Oracular Spectacular, was still pretty good.)

Remember that cute kid who covered “I’m Yours” a few months ago? Here’s another awesome ukulele, this time of the Beatles’ “Obladi Oblada.” Don’t expect him to say any of the lyrics though, he’s just making noises that sound vaguely like the words, and clearly just learned everything by ear.

One of the best songs of last year (if not THE best) was Lisztomania by Phoenix. The song inspired a bunch of fun music videos of people dancing and being really, really happy…starting with a mashup of the John Hughes brat pack, and then spreading to hipsters in Brooklyn and San Francisco. I know these videos are a little bit old now, but they are all awesome and really will lift your spirits.
ALSO…The PS22 chorus did a totally tubular cover of Lisztomania which you have got to check out:
