In the early ’90s, Hollywood made a film adaptation of Street Fighter, which turned out to be one of the worst films in the history of the world, ever. Too bad, because Street Fighter is such a great video game series. Luckily, twenty years later, fans of the fighting games are making AMAZING adaptations of the game that are billions of times better than what Hollywood could muster together.
Enjoy these two awesome and eerily similar Street Fighter fan films, amazingly, were released the same week by filmmakers who didn’t even know each other existed!

Robert Rodriguez has something to say about the racist new law in Arizona that has police racial profiling Mexicans. Here’s a special Arizona-themed trailer to his exploitation film, Machete, which we first saw a few years ago as part of Grindhouse.

Nerd rating: 11/10. But this makes me so geekily happy. :) Congrats to the soon-to-be-parents and their soon-to-be-super-geeky-and-socially-ostracized twin kids!

The first two Powerthirst videos were huge viral video sensations…so the creator made a third one. Unfortunately, this is the one where I think Powerthirst has jumped the shark, because I did not find the one funny at all. Oh well. All good things shark jump eventually.

Spose, an obscure rapper from Maine, has released a sweet video for his new single “I’m Awesome,” where he raps about how he’s not really awesome at all. This is the counterpoint to pretty much all other rap songs, where the rappers pretty much just talk about how awesome they are (ie: Ice Ice Baby, Rapper’s Delight, etc.).
