Forget Tim Burton’s version…this adaptation of “Alice in Wonderland” was made over 100 years ago, when Walt Disney was still in his diapers. The very first film version of Alice in Wonderland was made in 1903, and only one (damaged) print of the early film remains. With a running time of just 12 minutes (8 of which survive), Alice in Wonderland was the longest film produced in England at that time. Film archivists have managed to restore the film to a watchable version for the first time in over 100 years.
