This video makes me *cringe*. I can’t believe young kids like this can become this materialistic and at such a young age.

She doesn’t really strike me as a spoiled brat or as materialistic. She just sounds like a 10 year old who really likes make-up. Would you be less judgemental if it was a ten year old excited about drawing materials/art supplies? I think it’s a little harsh to call her a brat. If anything, she’s just a kid being a kid. In a world where girls feel the need to worry about their appearance and how they’re percieved by others I *cringe* to think of how it would make her feel to see what you wrote about her.

She seems like a sweet, articulate young girl, growing up in a culture where media objectifies girls and women. There’s nothing new about that except that 10 to 12 is the new 16. The haul this young girl received were gifts from other people.
