Some guy named Graham went on a roadtrip to personally meet every single one of his Facebook friends (well, most of them) — even people that he hardly knew, had only met once, or had completely fallen out of contact with. This is a ten minute documentary about the trip. I kind of want to do one of these. Very interesting idea. (Maybe I should add Graham as a friend so that I can get an [awkward] visit sometime!)

How will you do it if you don’t have a twin brother

Hey there. Thanks for the blog post of my project. I know it sounds strange, but i highly recommend anyone go on a facebook roadtrip. You get a great sense of social networks, but more importantly it reflects who you are as a person, and you can see how you changed over years through your friends. There certainly was a lot of awkwardness, but all discomfort was over shadowed by the warm fuzzy nostalgia of lost close friends.
There were defiantly a lot of people that did not want to meet up, ditched me, didn’t respond to initial messages. There were alot of people that surprised me too. One girl I went on one date with, “facebooked” her, and didnt call her back after. she was willing to meet. It was mad [awkward] but still an experience I won’t forget.
Josh is not my brother and rarely sports a beard. I was kind of upset that he did for the trip. I didn’t want to be 2 mountain men from the past pounding on your door to hold your hand and ask you personal questions. I decided that it didn’t really matter. Most people knew us.
thanks again and check out my site which show the full extent of the art project. http://www.socialnetworkstories.com/
