Napoleon Dynamite is one of my favorite movies of all time…and it began as a student film made by student filmmaker Jared Hess at Brigham Young University. Shot with a budget of $500 over 2 days, this film consists of many of the exact same scenarios and scenes that later were re-created for the feature.

This is another scene from the 1979 Errol Morris documentary Gates of Heaven (about a pet cemetery). This cracks me up! (You have to watch it all the way to the end — you’ll know what I mean!)
