I am sure Beethoven was, even in his time, somewhat aware of his status as a musical visionary, and would probably have expected for his ideas to transcend his brief mortality and influence the lives of people for thousands of years to come. He would probably not, however, expected those ideas to eventually culminate in a viral video of a popular mono-syllabic puppet performing a rendition of his 9th Symphony. But then again, what did he know?
