In case you didn’t know, I’ve been running a QBasic programming website since I was 13 years old, called Pete’s QBasic Site. It’s a really nerdy hobby, but my site is the biggest QB site on the Internet, still has an active community, and I just can’t give it up!
But enough about me. One of my cohorts, Jack Thomson of The QBasic Station made a music video about QB programming. It’s super geeky, but absolutely I love it:

Amazing. As a former clarinet player myself, I can’t believe I actually paid for the real thing when all I needed was a carrot.

Charles Trenet performs my favorite chanson song EVER. Yeah, I listen to a lot of old-school French chanson music from the 1940s and 50s. Like, a LOT. And this is my favorite song of them all.

Fat kid lipsyncs to the cutest song ever recorded.
Here’s the original, if you’re wondering where it came from. (It was recorded in 1994, and was one of the first viral videos at the dawn of the Internet…)

The Super Mario Bros. theme is probably the single most loved and most recognizable video game song of all time. So it’s no wonder that hundreds of people have done covers of it, on all different kinds of instruments. Here are some of the best I could find on YouTube:

An awesome cover of “Crazy” by Gnarls Barkley, done on a theremin. (A theremin is a weird space-age instrument that you play by moving your hands in the air near a radio antenna…it’s usually used to make those “spooky” sound effects that you hear in old Sci Fi movies.)

What do young kids like these days? THIS is what young people like these days! Amusing, but they’re definitely no Young@Heart.
Make sure you watch “Hot In Herre” starting at 4:20…by far the best clip.
